We are located in the heart of Eastern Ontario Canada, halfway between Montreal and Toronto, one and a half hours north of the U.S border crossing at Hill Island and Clayton New York, just outside the village of Tamworth. Our kennel sits on four secluded acres of rolling hills and wild flowers, surrounded by an additional 100 acres of adjoining wooded trails, the perfect place for long walks and romping with our collies. We breed and exhibit Rough and Smooth Collies.
Our breeding program focus's on the world renowned Tartanside and Fantasy family of collies. Our main focus is breeding the trademark qualities of the Tartanside Family through Am CH Fantasy's Bronze Talisman, and his son CH Tartanside Allegiance. Our entire line of collies is based on and directly links back to CH Fantasy's Bronze Talisman, the breeds top winning sire of all time. We are proud to have owned and bred Multi Breed, Group, Specialty, Puppy Group and Multi Best Puppy In Show winning collies, we have owned and bred Specialty winners both in Canada and in the U.S Our most cherished wins are at the prestigious Collie Club of America National Specialty, and the Collie Club of Canada. Our dogs are well known for their trademark faces, beautiful eyes, sweet expression, effortless movement and loving personalities which has come directly down the line through from their famous ancestors. All of these beautiful traits can be seen in the faces of the puppies that romp the yard at Ruffneck today. We are a small kennel (Est. 1984) We breed very few litters, and keep a limited number of dogs. We only breed when it becomes necessary to add to our family. Our first love is exhibiting beautiful, sound, healthy collies in conformation. We occasionally have puppies available for showing or just loving. All of our puppy's are champions in our heart, whether they be placing or winning at the national specialties or stretched out on our porch. All of our collies are completely guaranteed for any hereditary defects. Our dogs are raised on an all natural premium food. Ruffneck Collies can be found in Canada, the U.S and as far away as Japan.
