Am CH Southland Bowen Island ROM ex AM CH Tartanside Foolproof ROM
We couldn't be prouder to announce that Briggs is now Canada's newest canine citizen.
Just one short week after arriving, Briggs made a one day debut May 18, 2008 at the Dominion Collie and Shetland Sheepdog Assoc. Specialty and came home with Winners Dog/Best Of Winners. Wow, what a debut that was!!!
Briggs returned to the ring one month later for a weekend of shows and came home with 3 consecutive best of breed wins in one weekend ending just two points shy of his Canadian title, all wins owner handled and totally out of coat which didn't seem to be much of a disadvantage for him. Briggs makes a one day appearance at the Limestone City Kennel club show in Kingston Ontario on July 25 and takes another Best Of Winners to finish his championship undefeated in the classes.
Briggs was bred by Tartanside Collies and is co-owned with Dr. Elizabeth James of Northuist Collies. Briggs is sired by the multi champion and BISS producer CH Southland Bowen Island ROM Winner of BOV at the CCA 2002, his dam is AM CH Tartanside Foolproof ROM one of the top producing bitches in breed history. His pedigree speaks for itself. His good looks and sweet personality are captivating not only the judges but exhibitors alike.
Briggs returned to the USA for the Collie Club Of America Specialty in Springfield and came home with a second in the open sable and white class handled by his breeder John Buddie. His second trip stateside this year was for the Keystone Collie Specialty in conjunction with the Bucks County Kennel Club shows were he went Best Of Winners to finish his American Championship again handled by John. He also won the CCA Loving Cup for the Best of the Best Of Winners. We look forward to a very bright future with this stunning boy. He will be out in the specials ring in 2010.
Thanks to all his admirers who have sent their emails congratulating him on his wins, complimenting him on his good looks and inquiring about using him at stud.
Congrats to Briggs daughter's Northuist Cotilion, (Ottawa Ontario) TLC's Sweet Maire (Landsdowne, Ontario), and to his son Northuist Honor Guard (Regina, Saskatchewan) all who are nearing their championships this summer. Special congrats to Anjay and Eastleigh Collies on their Briggs son... New CHAMPION CH Tartanside Adirondack who recently finished his championship in the Maritimes. We couldn't be prouder. Our Briggs kids are home growing coat and gearing up for the show season waiting to make dad proud.
