CH Tartanside Southland Brigade ex Am Can CH Valley Parks Midnight Jubilee
Billy is the pick of our Beasley/Briggs litter, he will be out in the show ring this winter when he coats back up. He is maturing nicely, we anticipate he will be stunning!!! He has a beautiful long neck , pretty eye and overall body balance. He he is a beautiful blend of his father and mothers wonderful traits.
Billy is a very special puppy and so he deserves a very special name. He now carries the Kennel name of my late friend Christie Reimer of SkyHaven Collies in Pueblo Colorado. He will be known as Ruffneck SkyHaven Remember Me. He will be carrying on the Legacy of SkyHaven Collies for Christie, who was instrumental in Ruffneck acquiring Billy's dad, CH Tartanside Southland Brigade. Her advice, encouragement, support and friendship over the past couple years enabled us to reach so many dreams here, after restarting our breeding program after a five year absence. Dreams that never would have been accomplished without her sound advice and guidance.
We hope when people see Billy, they will Remember Christie and her love and devotion to the collie breed. They will remember her for the intelligent, strong, dignified woman that she was. Although she is now gone, she will never be forgotten here at Ruffneck. We feel so fortunate to have known Christie. There are times in ones life that you meet people you have a common connection with, and thru that a special friendship develops, a friendship grows, despite the distance between each other. These friendships are as special as a friends you might see everyday. Miles mean nothing when you share a common goal, a common interest, anyone with dog friends from all over the world can appreciate this bond. We are a special breed of people.
Christie and I talked for hours planning future breeedings, discussing dogs we liked and dogs we didn't. We planned breedings that would take place well into the future. Many times tallking well into the wee hours of the morning. Time would fly and the next thing we knew it was 3am and we were still wide awake talking collies, and still not tired or ready to stop.
It never dawned on me, in a very short time she would not be here to share in these future plans, share our visions, watch our dreams become reality, not here to exchange pictures, talk about litters that were taking place and would take place, then watching and evaluating our puppies to maturity. Watching them develop as we thought and dreamed they might. We will continue these special plans with Billy and others here at Ruffneck to make these dreams a reality in her honour. Christie will forever be a special member of the Ruffneck Family, she will be a special friend that will never be forgotten.
